Our goal is to bring free software to the center of the United States. We’re inviting pioneering educators and exports from a diverse array of companies and organizations to share their successes. We’re also bringing forward-thinking individuals, who have a passion for free (as in speech) software to share the latest from the development and community-building realms. MAGNet Con will also include sessions on developing free software, systems administration, network management, security, GNU tools, using office applications, gaming and more. Birds of a Feather sessions on community, implementation and hacking are encouraged. Every part of MAGNet Con will be community driven and inspired.
All of that means we need your help! Do you want to see an inspiring and community-driven free software event in America’s Heartland? We’re especially interested in hearing from you if you have experience with starting or organizing a grass-roots, community-supported conference.
